Food toxicology is the study of the harmful effects of chemical substances and toxins in food on human health. The main goal of food toxicology in Food Science is to ensure that the food we eat is safe and free from harmful contaminants, such as pesticides, heavy metals, food additives, and other chemical substances that may pose a threat to human health.
