Janet C. King has completed her degree in Iowa State University, Ames and she did her doctorate in University of California, Berkeley, CA. Currently she is Senior Scientist in Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute and a professor in The University of California and she is Senior Vice President of Research and Executive Director of CHORI. She is the Member, National Academy of Medicine Expert Panels on Nutritional Biomarkers of Chronic Disease and Nutrient Recommendations. She got a honors of Membership, National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine in 1994.2014- Hurley Named Lecturer in Nutrition, University of California at Davis. She received I have received funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to re-establish the International Zinc Consultative Group that addresses zinc inadequacies worldwide. I have received numerous awards for my research of zinc nutrition, including the prestigious Atwater Award and my elections to the National Academy of Medicine and the USDA Research Hall of Fame.
